This completely reconditioned engine is based on VW as41 case, line bored .060 with all new bearings.

The crank is a new 74mm forged counterweighted 8 dowel unit with a lightened flywheel and Stage 1 Kennedy plate. There are a set of new thick wall 92mm cylinders and the camshaft is a custom grind similar to a W110 from Engle. The heads are from Mofoco and are D ports with 40 mm x 35.5mm stainless valves and the compression is set at 8.55:1. I have fitted a set of my 40mm IDF carbs and the full custom stainless steel exhaust system is very quiet. The case has a sand seal and the full flow oil filter adapter is connected via the stainless steel braided lines with AN fittings.

This engine has just been dyno tuned at 97HP at the engine or just over 120HP at the wheels.

We modified a few setting settings and acheived 98.5 HP and therefore you add 25% for the HP at the rear wheels (122HP).
